Lawrence ParkLawrence Park

Location: Yonge Street to the west and Bayview Avenue to the east — and from Blythwood Ravine on the south to Lawrence Avenue on the north

If residential architecture and exquisite landscaping appeal to you, then add Lawrence Park to your itinerary. Originally advertised as an ‘aristocratic neighbourhood’ in 1907, this part of the city is still very desired today. English Cottage, Tudor Revival, Georgian and Colonial are some of the intriguing house styles found in this neighbourhood. Perfectly manicured lawns and tranquil streets help to complete the timeless, elegant ambience of the area.

Lawrence Park is also home to the award-winning multi-level Alexander Muir Memorial Gardens. Picturesque rose gardens greet you as you enter through the iron gate entrance and stepping-stones guide you along a peaceful forested path lined with maples, oaks, willows and beeches. Serene and quiet, the park is ideal for a leisurely stroll or spending an afternoon under a tree with your favourite book.

The upscale nature of Lawrence Park will tempt you to do some high-end shopping. Browse through the various fashion boutiques found in the Yonge and Lawrence area. When you’re between stores, take a moment and have a treatfrom a gourmet coffee shop or bakery.
